Microblading in Istanbul

Microblading in Istanbul

Microblading is a semi-permanent eyebrow treatment that uses fine pigment strokes to create the appearance of natural brow hairs. It may be considered when the eyebrows have visible gaps, uneven density or a shape that is difficult to define with makeup alone.

At Luxus Hair Group, the design is planned around the client’s natural brow growth, facial proportions, skin type and preferred level of definition. Microblading is performed by specialists who have completed PhiAcademy training and certification.

Who May Consider Microblading?

Microblading may suit clients who want sparse areas to look more even, create a clearer eyebrow outline or reduce the need for daily brow makeup.

The treatment does not create new eyebrow hairs. The fuller appearance comes from fine pigment strokes placed between and around the natural brow hairs.

Both brows are assessed together, but the aim is not to make them exactly identical. Natural facial asymmetry is taken into account while creating a more balanced shape.

How Is a Natural-Looking Brow Design Planned?

The eyebrow shape is drawn and discussed before pigment is applied. This allows the width, arch, starting point and tail of the brows to be reviewed in advance.

The design follows the existing brow structure rather than replacing it with a standard template. Stroke direction, spacing and density are adapted to the natural growth pattern.

For a softer appearance, the front of the brow is generally kept lighter and less dense. Definition can increase gradually through the centre and tail where appropriate.

Pigment colour is selected according to the natural brow hair, skin tone and the way the shade is expected to settle after healing. A reference image can help explain the preferred style, but the final design still needs to suit the client’s own brows and facial proportions.

How Is Microblading Performed?

The appointment begins with an assessment of the skin, natural brows and any existing pigment.

After the shape has been agreed, a suitable pigment shade is selected. A manual microblading tool is then used to create controlled, hair-like strokes within the brow area.

The overall shape and balance are checked before aftercare instructions are provided.

The time required depends on the existing brow shape, the number of sparse areas and whether previous microblading or permanent makeup is present.

Healing Process

The brows may appear darker and more defined immediately after the treatment. Mild redness, sensitivity or dryness can also occur during the early healing stage.

As the skin heals, the pigment usually settles into a softer appearance. The first-day colour should not be treated as the final result.

Any flaking or light crusting should be allowed to come away naturally. Picking or rubbing the area can affect pigment retention and leave the brows looking uneven.

Water, steam, heavy sweating, cosmetics and sun exposure should be managed according to the aftercare instructions provided. Makeup and unapproved skin care products should not be applied directly to the healing area until advised.

How Long Does the Pigment Last?

Microblading is semi-permanent and gradually fades over time.

Retention varies according to skin type, oil production, sun exposure, skin care habits and the natural rate of skin renewal. Strong acids, retinoids and repeated peeling treatments around the brows may cause the pigment to fade more quickly.

Oily skin may retain fine strokes differently from dry or combination skin. For this reason, no fixed duration can be guaranteed for every client.

Is a Touch-Up Session Needed?

A follow-up or touch-up session may be considered after the skin has healed and the pigment has settled.

Some areas can retain less pigment than others depending on skin type, healing and aftercare. A touch-up may be used to strengthen lighter sections or refine individual strokes where appropriate.

Not every client needs the same amount of additional work. Whether a touch-up is included in the initial price, its timing and any additional cost should be confirmed when booking.

Microblading or Brow Lamination?

Microblading and brow lamination address different concerns.

Microblading places fine pigment strokes into the brow area to make gaps and sparse sections appear more balanced.

Brow lamination works only with the existing eyebrow hairs. It changes their direction and creates a tidier, more controlled shape without placing pigment into the skin.

Clients who have enough natural brow hair but struggle with uneven growth direction may prefer brow lamination. Microblading may be more suitable when the main concern is limited density, visible gaps or a less defined shape.

The two treatments should not be scheduled together without first considering the condition of the skin and the timing between applications.

Existing Pigment and Previous Work

Clients who have had previous microblading or permanent makeup need an additional assessment before a new application.

Old pigment may have faded unevenly, changed colour or retained a shape that does not suit the new design. Dark, heavily saturated or incorrectly positioned pigment cannot always be covered with new hair-like strokes.

A recent, unfiltered photograph can help with the initial review, although the final decision is made after the brows and skin have been examined directly.

When Should Treatment Be Postponed?

Microblading should not be performed over an active wound, infection, eczema, dermatitis or significant irritation in the eyebrow area.

Clients with certain medical conditions, medication use, bleeding or clotting concerns, pregnancy, breastfeeding or known pigment allergies may need medical approval before treatment.

Recent laser procedures, aggressive peels or other treatments around the brows should also be mentioned. Relevant health information and current medication should be shared during the consultation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can microblading be applied over old eyebrow pigment?

It depends on the colour, density and position of the existing pigment. Dark or heavily saturated work may need to fade or be treated before a new application can be planned.

Can I choose the pigment colour?

The preferred shade can be discussed, but the final colour should also suit the natural eyebrow hair, skin tone and the way the pigment is expected to heal.

Should I remove my natural eyebrow hairs before treatment?

No. The existing brow hairs are used as part of the design. Only limited shaping may be carried out where necessary.
